You should wait for the MacBook Air's new model which is likely to be launched, latest by July this year. Apple will refresh its popular MacBook Air very soon. The production of notebooks has been slowed down recently and Apple confirms to launch the refreshed version soon. The new notebooks will start shipping in late May itself. MacBook Air will retain the 11.6" and 13.3" screen sizes of their predecessors. They will also feature Intel's new "Sandy Bridge" processors.

Apple will make it possible to move the MacBook Air to the same CPUs which are likely to be a dual-core to match the entry-level 13-in. Although the MacBook Air — which starts from $999 — doesn't seem to have lowered Apple's notebook average sales price (ASP).

Apple releases MacBook Pro and iMac EFI and Software Updates

Apple has released a few updates for the firmware and operating system software for the latest MacBook Pro and iMac models that address problems with Boot Camp, graphics stability and external display support, and also some bugs with the new Thunderbolt I/O connection technology.

These updates are specific to the new MacBook Pro and iMac models released this year that have the Thunderbolt technology, so users having an older MacBook Pro model do not need to download these updates.
MacBook Pro EFI Update 2.1 is an update which fixes a problem in the 2011 MacBook Pro models in which when running Boot Camp, Turbo Mode would not work properly. It also addresses some graphics stability issues with the initial firmware release.
Similarly MacBook Pro Software Update 1.4 is an update for the new MacBook Pro systems is a software update fix that addresses the same issues with graphics stability and performance, and bug fixes to the Thunderbolt connections.

New MacBook Air To Be Launched in June

June 2012 will witness the introduction of the new range of Apple's hugely popular and successful line of ultra-thin notebooks, MacBook Air, according to the DigiTimes report. Apple will equip the new MacBook Air with Intel's Sandy Bridge processors and its fastest I/O technology, Thunderbolt, which is also available on MacBook Pro and iMac.
Apple is revamping the MacBook Air line in order to take on competition posed by the latest ultra-thin notebook models launched by Samsung, Acer, Dell and H.P.

DigiTimes has reported the timeline for the MacBook Air launch to be the first week of June. However, as always is the case with Apple, the company has neither denied nor confirmed these reports.
It remains to be seen if the new MacBook Air will emerge triumphant in this war of the ultra-thin notebooks.
